Eunuch declared CM Candidate : முதல்வர் பதவிக்கு திருநங்கை போட்டியிடுகிறார்

உ.பி முதல்வர் பதவி வேட்பாளராக திருநங்கை ஒருவரை ராஷ்ட்ரிய விக்லாங் கட்சி அறிவித்துள்ளது.

உ.பி சட்டப்பேரவை தேர்தல் விரைவில் நடைபெற உள்ளது. இந்த தேர்தலுக்கான வேட்பாளர்களை அரசியல் கட்சிகள் அறிவித்து வருகின்றன.

இந்த நிலையில், ராஷ்ட்ரிய விக்லாங் கட்சி என்ற சிறிய கட்சி வேட்பாளர்கள் அறிவிப்பில் புரட்சியை ஏற்படுத்தி உள் ளது.

வேட்பாளர் பட்டியலில், சமூகத்தால் ஒதுக்கி வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள திருநங்கைகளுக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. முதல் பட்டியலிலேயே 5 திருநங்கைகளின் பெயர் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இது தொடர்பாக கட்சியின் தேசிய பொதுச் செயலாளர் விரேந்திர குமார் கூறுகையில், ‘‘உ.பி. பேரவை தேர்தலில் மொத்தம் 50 திருநங்கைகளை வேட்பாளர்களாக நிறுத்துவோம். முதல்வர் பதவிக்கான வேட்பாளராக திருநங்கை முன்நிறுத்தப்படுவார். அரசியல் கட்சிகள் மீது மக்கள் நம்பிக்கை இழந்துவிட்டார்கள். நேர்மையான ஒருவர்தான் தங்கள் பிரதிநிதியாக இருக்க வேண்டும் என்று மக்கள் நினைக்கிறார்கள். திருநங்கைகள் நேர்மையானவர்கள் என்பதால், அவர்களை வேட்பாளர்களாக நிறுத்த உள்ளோம்’’ என்றார்.

[The little-known Rashtriya Viklang Party (RVP) has declared an eunuch as its chief ministerial candidate. The party has also decided to field about 50 eunuchs in the coming 2012 UP elections.

"The party has decided to field at least 50 eunuchs from different assembly seats and five names have already been announced," party's national general secretary and UP incharge Virendra Kumar told reporters. "National president of Kinnar Morcha Shobha Bua has been named candidate for Dhaulana assembly seat in Ghaziabad. Shobha will also be chief ministerial candidate of the party," he added. Kumar said first eunuch MLA of the country Shabnam Mausi will be party's candidate from Kanpur cantonment seat.

He said that people want good candidates, as political parties have failed to deliver. Eunuchs are a marginalised section of the society, but their honesty and ability cannot be ignored, he said.

Kumar said that party's election manifesto includes various issues related to eunuchs such as quota in accordance with their population, pension to eunuchs above 40 years, right to live like a common citizen and rehabilitation. He said that while eunuchs neither have children, nor families, therefore they have no reason to indulge in corruption.]
